Young Pioneers and ourselves are going to be offering volunteers the oportunity to work to gain an accredited volunteering qualification. You will also find here any joint events we will be working at. The first of which is our Relay on 10th Sept followed by Bewl Dragon Boat Festival on 17th/18th September. - DO YOU FANCY HELPING AT THAT EVENT? WHY NOT SIGN UP AS A 1066 Young Pioneer?

If you have not been introduced to the Young Pioneers here is a breif out line of who they are. You will understand why a working partnership is a good thing in our community. Toghther we can help each others organisation to reach its aims. The following has been taken from their website. We are also going to be raising funds together by attending festivals, shows etc all around the country. Our portion of money raised at these events will be passed onto the charities nominated by the team members who are crewing at the event where the money was raised.

Young Pioneers is a charity run by young people, for young people. It was set up by a 12 year old school boy who wanted to enable other young people to make a difference.

Our aim is to make it “Cool to Care” and to help young people advance in life by improving their social welfare and developing their key skills so that they can become mature and responsible individuals.

The charity empowers young people to achieve this by providing accredited training courses and education programmes that teach young people how to Stay safe, Be Healthy, Go Green, Innovate and Make a positive contribution to the lives of other young people.

We want young people to be aware of the world around them, take action
and become positive role models for other young people.
